Egypt at its most unhurried. Five-star Cairo, a private Egyptologist at every site, and four nights on a small dahabiya that sails when you are ready rather than to a fleet timetable.
Day by day
Met on the airstand at Cairo airport, where we handle your visa and walk you through customs. Transfer to your hotel and, if the timing suits, a quiet first dinner overlooking the river.
An early start at the plateau while the light is still low, with time at the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx. Afternoon in the Grand Egyptian Museum, where the Tutankhamun galleries deserve two unhurried hours.
The Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, the colossus of Ramses II at Memphis, and the Bent and Red pyramids at Dahshur, where you can often have the chamber to yourself. Evening flight to Luxor and aboard your dahabiya.
Karnak in the morning, when the hypostyle hall is at its coolest and quietest. Luxor Temple after dark, lit from below. Cast off overnight for Esna.
Through the Esna lock, then the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most complete temple standing in Egypt. Afternoon on deck as the riverbank turns to sugar cane and palm.
The double temple of Kom Ombo, shared between Sobek and Horus, best seen in the late afternoon. Sail on to Aswan and moor for the night within sight of Elephantine Island.
Motorboat across to the island Temple of Philae, then the High Dam and the unfinished obelisk. Late afternoon under sail on a felucca around Elephantine Island.
A pre-dawn start for Abu Simbel, standing in front of the four colossi of Ramses II as the sun clears the lake. Return to Aswan and fly to Cairo for your onward flight.

Prices are per person and vary with dates, group size and hotel choice. Your quote lists everything line by line.
The practical things travellers ask us most. Your trip designer covers the rest before you fly.
Churches, monasteries and mosques ask for covered shoulders and knees. A light scarf does both jobs and helps in the sun.
October to April is the comfortable season. In summer, Luxor and Aswan are very hot, so we start early and rest at midday.
We meet you as you land, or at the Taba border for Sinai trips, and walk you through visa and customs.
Early starts are flagged ahead of time. Tell us where you’d rather slow down and we’ll rebalance the days.

Change the dates, add a day in Sinai, swap the cruise for a dahabiya. We’ll send back a revised day-by-day plan.
